Overview of
Surrogacy Process
-
Once you decide to embark on the surrogacy journey, the next step is to complete the essential paperwork with Socal Surrogacy. This will initiate the matching process, setting you on a path toward a truly beautiful experience.

-
You will have the opportunity to review profiles of available surrogates and speak with a candidate by zoom or in person meeting with your program director.
-
During this meeting, we will discuss the process, any concerns you may have and spend time getting to know each other. After the meeting, you both will have 24 hrs to decide if you do indeed want to move forward with each other. If so, your surrogate will undergo a psychological evaluation from our licensed therapist.

-
All of the surrogates medical records, psych evaluation and profile are sent to your IVF clinic for review and approval.

-
Once completed the clinic will arrange the medical screening with your surrogate

-
Once your surrogate is medically cleared, we will start the legal contracts with both parties attorneys

-
Once the legal contracts are finalized, you may begin the mock or embryo transfer cycle.

-
Once the surrogate is pregnant, she will begin to receive monthly payments as outlined in the Surrogate Benefits Package. The terms of these payments will be specified in your legal contract drafted by your attorney. The attorney that drafts the contract can also manage your trust fund if requested. No payments will be paid unless the attorney and the agency approve such requests. If the payment falls outside the terms of the legal agreement, you will be contacted and asked for your approval.

-
The Trust will stay in place for a minimum of 6 months post-partum.

-
It is preferable for you to visit your surrogate during the pregnancy as much as possible and attend physician appointments with her. This will provide you with an opportunity to see your baby/babies by ultrasound, as well as allowing you time to spend growing the relationship with your surrogate.

-
Parental Rights documents will be filed in the court system from your attorneys office around the 20th week of pregnancy.

-
We request that you make every effort to be at the embryo transfer as well as the birth, and as many appointments as possible in between.

-
We wish to make this a pleasurable and loving journey for all parties involved!

Warm Regards,
Sandi Robledo
